Navin Pillai

Associate

Navin Pillai is a commercial real estate attorney whose practice spans the full spectrum of real estate transactions. He represents landlords, tenants, developers, and investors in leasing, acquisitions, and development matters across all property types, including retail, office, industrial, multifamily, and mixed-use.

Before focusing on commercial real estate, Navin served as general counsel for homeowners associations, property owners associations, condominium associations, and residential housing developers. He advised them on a variety of different legal issues and topics. He also practiced as a tax attorney, advising multinational corporations on complex tax credit strategies. This varied background allows him to anticipate issues and approach transactions with a practical, business-oriented perspective. During law school, Navin clerked for the Honorable Justice Evelyn Keyes at the Texas Fourteenth Court of Appeals and was an active participant in Moot Court.

Outside of work, Navin enjoys spending time with family and friends and exploring Houston’s diverse food scene.
